Pieces of Her marks the beginning of my transition into color—a shift born from necessity and celebration. In 2017, the same month I entered remission, I was invited to exhibit at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History. Turning to the vivid editorial pages of luxury fashion publications in place of traditional paint, I discovered a new visual language. This first exploration proved that the human form could be meticulously rebuilt from paper fragments, paralleling my own process of restoration.
