FAQ's
WHAT IS PAINTING WITH PAPER?
Artist Brianna Hart refers to her work as being painted with paper. She uses this terminology to describe her medium since she uses paper instead of paint. Her work has been classified as a glorified form of collage, as well as mixed media, being that she also incorporates paint into her work. Many of her paintings contain delicate details such as designer jewelry, elements of nature, as well as familiar facial features which are all created from ads found in high-fashion magazines. Brianna utilizes an extensive filing system for the cut-up magazine pages she uses to construct paintings. Using the small cut-up pieces of paper, adhesive, and a paintbrush, she produces large, bold, beautifully vibrant paintings that carry a deeper meaning than meets the eye. ORIGINAL VS. GICLEÉ PRINT?
-
Gicleé (zhee-klay) fine art prints are produced by first capturing a high-definition photograph of the original artwork. Then, using a specialized high-resolution inkjet printer, the images are printed directly onto museum-quality, certified archival paper or canvas. Although a gicleé is technically an “art print,” it is distinguished by its exceptional quality, longevity, and value when compared to other art prints.
Each print is signed, titled, and dated in pencil by Brianna Hart and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Prints are shipped with a heavy archival matboard backing, acid-free crystal clear protective sleeve, or archival tissue paper, and are packaged flat inside a rigid mailer or a box. All prints are sold UNFRAMED.
-
An original is a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork that has been hand-created by the artist.
All original artwork is signed, titled, and dated on the back and includes a wax-stamped certificate of authenticity. Originals are packaged with high-quality shipping material and depending on the size, come in either a box or a crate. Each piece is packed with great care to ensure no damage is caused during transit.
SIZING
Are you unsure whether the artwork you're interested in will properly fit in your space? Whether it's an original or a Gicleé, you can easily visualize the size by using tape. While most tapes will work, it's preferred to use blue or green painter's tape to avoid any potential damage to your walls.
